White water rafting Cairns... not for the light hearted!

The Tully river is approximately 140km south of Cairns and home to some of Australia's most rafted rapids. Both travellers and locals enjoy the adrenalin rush of white water rafting down this spectacular river. This Cairns tour picks up in both the Cairns city area as well as Mission Beach as it travels to Tully for the big day out.

Amongst my top ten things to do in Cairns white water rafting is open to anyone 13 years and over however under 18 must travel with an adult. Participants should be confident swimmers and have good English skills.

The full day Cairns white water rafting adventure includes a BBQ lunch, up to 5 hours of rafting and accommodation transfers.

For the adrenalin junkies there is an Extreme Cairns white water rafting option which rafts faster and further and includes rock jumping, rapid swimming and raft surfing.

For those that would like a taste of the action but are not quite ready for the full day options then you can jump on the half day Cairns white water rafting tour that travels the rapids of the Barron River.

Why not check out the package deals and combine your adventure with a skydive, snorkel day or bungy jump?

White Water Rafting... is it really for me?

Your time in Cairns or Mission Beach will be unforgettable if you can squeeze in a White Water Rafting adventure. Your day starts when you are picked up from your hotel. A full days adventure on the Tully River, or a half day adventure on the Barron River will leave you wanting more!  The group will be ushered into rafts according to their swimming ability, confidence level and adrenalin requests. The 'Xtreme' option is for those that would like some serious heart palpitations and the regular tours are for those who may be experiencing the river for the first time, that may not be as confident or that simply prefer the less crazy route.
Your full day out will include a riverside BBQ lunch. You will be required to wear shoes that tie on (and can get wet) as well as some safety equipment that will be supplied.

For a real adventure why not combine this with a skydive and get a great package deal?
