Spring into everything?
There is nothing better than that feeling... the air is fresher and of course warmer, the birds are singing or is that a voice in my head?
It does not take much after a long Winter to get a sudden boost of excitement about getting outdoors once the weather heats up in Spring. The number one purchased item is skydiving in almost every region in Australia, second to this is the gift voucher, which is generally also used for skydiving!
Some popular jump zones in Spring are Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Cairns, but all the other jump zones are still feeling the interest flourish.
Skydiving has now become the number one gift purchased in the experience industry for people of all ages and for all occasions but in particular for specific birthdays such as 18th, 21st, 40th and well beyond that in some cases!

Wine glorious wine... there is nothing like it!
Look to be honest a glass of vino, some well matched cheeses and I am in heaven. If you ever get a chance to experience the magnificence of Western Australia you won't be disappointed. The two standouts for me were the Swan Valley region and of course the Margaret River region.

Are people like bears... do they hibernate for the Winter?
Well it looks as though not everyone agrees. I thought that a full day abseiling and canyoning in the Blue Mountains was a great opportunity for a day out with friends however it turns out that not everybody was up for some adventure. Responses I received from my very last minute text message included "Well if we are down that way would we be better off taking a wine tour?" and "My knee has been playing up a little."
After some thinking I came to the conclusion that we are a little like bears in that we hibernate for the Winter and just take a little warming up to get going.
So I have finally convinced the group to all come along however we have booked for October so that we can make full use of the Summer canyoning options - which means we will get wet...yahoo!

The convenience... buying gifts online!
Surely I am not the only person who finds that it is Fathers Day tomorrow and they have not posted a gift to a father that has no chance of arriving in time even if posted yesterday?
There is only one choice and that is to buy a voucher or book an experience online and email it through. I have always felt that vouchers can take away that personalisation of the gift, whereas an actual booking shows that you have really thought about what you wanted to give someone.
With a father living out of town some of the options I have purchased over the years include: white water rafting, snorkel day tour, bridge climb, movie tickets, jet ski hire and a wine tour.
I actually usually end up emailing the voucher because I need it to arrive that day.
What are your favourite last minute gifts that you can buy online for instant confirmation?
