Margaret River Wines

The Margaret River region is a very special place and world known for the amazing coastline but even better known for the wine that is produced in this fantastic climate. Although Margaret River only produces 3% of the wine in Australia it represents over 20% of the premier wine served in Australia.

In 1967 the first major planting was undertaken in the region and since then has grown to approximately 215 wine producing vineyards across 5000 hectares of grapes.

Margaret River wine tours allow you to visit a range of wineries and taste the best that each has to offer without the hassles of maps and determining who will be the designated driver. Tours will generally pickup in Margaret River, Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Augusta. Wine tours in the Margaret River region include a combination of: wine tastings at various wineries, brewery visit and tasting, lunch as well as cheese and chocolate tastings.

Margaret River Wine tours are also available that depart from Perth.

All tours at guaranteed lowest prices. Wine tours Perth to the Swan Valley also available.

Skydiving Sunshine Coast... what a buzz!

The magnificent Sunshine Coast is home to some of Australia's most impressive beaches and more individual National Parks than any other region in Queensland. Coolum lies between the two well known suburbs of Noosa and Mooloolaba. Mount Coolum, Australia's second largest monolith rock, is iconic to the area. If you really want to see the best view of this part of the world then a Coolum skydive is highly recommended. The Sunshine Coast airport is just south of Coolum and is the meeting point for this life changing experience.
There is no prior experience required for a tandem skydive and Coolum's Sunshine Coast skydive landing zone is like no other. Imagine free falling from 14000ft for around 60 seconds before the parachute opens and you soar down to Coolum landing on the BEACH almost 5 minutes later.

You will have experienced a feeling that will last a lifetime and can also capture the memories on a DVD and photo package if you choose.

For a special occasion you may also choose the sunrise skydive in which you will see the sun rising twice in one day (once in freefall and once after landing)!

Reef tours Cairns ... something for everyone!

When visiting Cairns you must see the Great Barrier Reef up close. There are a couple of ways to see the reef and you really need to be sure that you choose the way that best suits you. There are many more fish species as well as soft and hard corals easily viewable if you can get to the 'outer reef'. This generally involves a full day outer reef cruise where on arrival to your outer reef location the boat will be moored for your snorkeling or scuba diving adventure. You will either visit a couple of reef locations throughout the day or you will anchor up to a pontoon, there are advantages for either option. The pontoon option means that you will have access to a much larger area when you are not underwater and have a glass bottom boat, semi-submersible and underwater observatory. Alternatively without the pontoon your vessel will visit more than one reef location and may offer the glass bottom boat option.

Your day will include a seafood buffet lunch, informative commentary with onboard marine biologists and use of snorkelling equipment. Guided snorkel tours are available however some vessels do charge an additional fee for this service.

Some tours include helicopter joy flight options or you can also choose to fly in or out to the boat from Cairns on a helicopter (half day option available also). Some vessels are better setup for family groups and all ages of children and some are not. Family prices are available on some tours.

If a full day onboard is not suited to your family situation then you may be better suited to Green Island tours or Fitzroy Island tours. These island tours also depart daily from Cairns and involve a shorter cruise (45 - 60 minutes) out to the coral cay island and an opportunity to use resort facilities. Tour options include a combination of reef snorkelling, glass bottom boat rides, semi submersible tours, lunch, helmet diving and more.

Skydiving Adelaide experience!

Both locals and visitors to Adelaide are sure to take advantage of the wine regions with a Barossa tours or wine tours Adelaide to McLaren Vale, Clare Valley or the Adelaide Hills but the modern way to get your heart racing and checkout the region is from the air. Tandem skydiving is open to anyone over the age of 12 and no experience is required. Departing from Wellington airstrip, 109km south east of Adelaide or just less than 40km from the Murray Bridge.
Skydiving Adelaide offers you an adrenalin rush to match no other and you can capture this memory on a DVD or photo package that can be purchased on the day.

Skydiving makes a great gift for a special occasion and is popular as an 18th, 21st, 40th and even 60th birthday gift. Bucks and Hens parties are also a good excuse to convince a group of friends to join you but honeymooners, backpackers and family groups also regularly book.

Your amazing adventure begins with a 20 - 30 minute flight depending on your chosen height. Up to 14000ft tandem skydives are available from the skydiving Adelaide jump zone. Your freetime will vary up to about 60 seconds falling at about 200km/hour and will lead into an incredible 5 minutes of soaring over the spectacular views of the Murray River, Adelaide Hills, Coorong, Lake Alexandrina and the South Coast.

White water rafting Cairns... not for the light hearted!

The Tully river is approximately 140km south of Cairns and home to some of Australia's most rafted rapids. Both travellers and locals enjoy the adrenalin rush of white water rafting down this spectacular river. This Cairns tour picks up in both the Cairns city area as well as Mission Beach as it travels to Tully for the big day out.

Amongst my top ten things to do in Cairns white water rafting is open to anyone 13 years and over however under 18 must travel with an adult. Participants should be confident swimmers and have good English skills.

The full day Cairns white water rafting adventure includes a BBQ lunch, up to 5 hours of rafting and accommodation transfers.

For the adrenalin junkies there is an Extreme Cairns white water rafting option which rafts faster and further and includes rock jumping, rapid swimming and raft surfing.

For those that would like a taste of the action but are not quite ready for the full day options then you can jump on the half day Cairns white water rafting tour that travels the rapids of the Barron River.

Why not check out the package deals and combine your adventure with a skydive, snorkel day or bungy jump?

What to do in Hobart?

Hobart is an amazing old city where there is so much to do. I thought it would be a good idea to mention my top three things to do in Hobart... in no particular order as your interests may vary to mine!
  1. Port Arthur- you can self drive if you have a vehicle however you will miss the informative commentary and stops at other interesting icons along the way and it is a long day. The Port Arthur tours include hotel transfers, translation, guided walk, harbour cruise, entrance fees with the 'ghost tour' option also available on Saturdays.
  2. Hobart tours - Visit popular icons in the local area and surrounds such as Cadbury Chocolate factory, Mt Wellington, Mt Field, Wineglass Bay, tassie devils, Tahune Airwalk and Hastings Caves
  3. Salamanca Place is home to waterfront warehouses from the 1830's whaling days and now popular for it's Saturday markets.
I should mention that I also enjoyed the Cascade brewery and many great little restaurants and cafes!
