Can you multi-task?

I am suggesting that this Easter you should take advantage of what this great country has to offer by experiencing it whilst eating your Easter eggs at the same time!

Some suggestions:
I think if you really tried hard you could definately attempt most of these tasks and squeeze in some serious chocolate feasting as well.

HAPPY EASTER!

The history of Port Arthur

Port Arthur is just 60km South East of Hobart and is Tasmania's most highly visited tourist attraction. The settlement is best known as a penal colony but actually orginated as a timber station. Port Arthur peninsula is surrounded by water, a natural guard that was rumoured to be shark infested. From 1833 to 1853 it was home to the hardest of British and Irish convicted criminals.
It is highly recommended that visitors to Port Arthur participate in a guided tour to learn about the history of the area, as well as a harbour cruise and visit to Isle of the Dead. A full day tour package including informative transfers from Hobart, guided tour and river cruise is a great option. Prices are affordable and two/ three day packages are available for those who are interested in other tours from Hobart such as Wineglass Bay, Tassie Devils, Mt Wellington, Cadbury Factory etc.

White Water Rafting... is it really for me?

Your time in Cairns or Mission Beach will be unforgettable if you can squeeze in a White Water Rafting adventure. Your day starts when you are picked up from your hotel. A full days adventure on the Tully River, or a half day adventure on the Barron River will leave you wanting more!  The group will be ushered into rafts according to their swimming ability, confidence level and adrenalin requests. The 'Xtreme' option is for those that would like some serious heart palpitations and the regular tours are for those who may be experiencing the river for the first time, that may not be as confident or that simply prefer the less crazy route.
Your full day out will include a riverside BBQ lunch. You will be required to wear shoes that tie on (and can get wet) as well as some safety equipment that will be supplied.

For a real adventure why not combine this with a skydive and get a great package deal?

Skydiving is a memory that lasts forever

This may just be your view... when you are about to skydive from 14000ft!       With jump zones in Cairns, Rainbow Beach, Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour, Sydney, Melbourne, Yarra Valley, Great Ocean Road or Adelaide you are sure to find a location that will best suit you.  Some jump zones offer beach landings, others can take several of your mates up to skydive on the same plane. Many jump zones can jump as high as 14000ft and all jump zones offer multimedia package options such as DVD and photos.  Your tandem skydiving experience does not require any previous experience and includes all training prior to your jump. You would generally need to leave around 2 - 4 hours for a skydive experience.
Skydives have for a long time been a very popular gift for special occasions such as 18th birthdays but have more recently become affordable for locals and travellers to a region. Skydiving is a fabulous way to take in the local sites from above!

Abseil and Canyon Adventure in the Blue Mountains

All you need is one full day spare and you will have the chance to both take in all that the Blue Mountains has to offer as well as enjoy an adrenalin filled adventure. Just a train ride from Sydney, the abseil and canyon adventures depart daily from Katoomba and include technical equipment and lunch.

Starting at the basic option there is a half day mini abseil where you can begin learning how to use the equipment on the 3-5 metre wall and then lead up to a 15m - 30m abseil experience. For those that are interested in a little more adrenalin you may join the full day Super Jump and can work up to launching yourself over a 20 metre overhang, lowering yourself down 60 metres.

Probably the most popular options are those that include a canyonning adventure. There are a couple of abseil and canyon adventures that run during different seasons to best suit the conditions. The Summer canyon adventure is in the Empress Canyon and the Winter Canyon favourite is the Tigersnake Canyon. These adventures often include waterfall abseils, water jumps and natural water slides.
