Most visitors to the Island participate in snorkelling as well as take a glass bottom boat tour so that they can get closer to the spectacular Great Barrier Reef. Tours depart daily from the centrally located Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal and the trip out to the Island takes approximately 45mins to 1 hour. Most tours include snorkelling and/or glass bottom boat tours with optional semi-submarine and buffet lunch.

Loved snorkelling at Green Island. Saw heaps of parrot fish and even spotted a green turtle. After we got out of the water, we explored the rocks on the edge and saw a spotted stingray swim past. Was one of our favourite days in Cairns.
